Oh My...So Close...Pre-Settlement Demo Tomorrow

People, our house is done! Besides the touch ups that are bound to happen.

It's been a while since we have posted, but not too much has changed since the last post.  It wasn't much more they had to do.  My wife and I have decreased our visits to the home because not a lot of changes were happening.  We thought we would save our gas instead of making the trip just to see touch ups.

There have been some substantial changes since we've last been and those were: our sod got laid, landscaping done, and our house was thoroughly cleaned several times.  It seemed like forever to get to this point, but when we sit and really think about it...time flew by.  It was just yesterday when our lot was getting staked.

We are so close.

Tomorrow is a major milestone - Pre-Settlement Demonstration with the best Ryan Homes PM ever!!!  Shout out to ya J!
One week from that, CLOSING!

My family and I are blessed and we can't ask for too much more! God is Good!

**Pics below for your enjoyment**

*So beautiful*

*The vents weren't in and our checklist was still up*

***During this time we were actually matching up backsplash and my wife almost caught on fire leaning over the stove***

*Eh, it would have been nice to see some vacuum lines*

  3. Your house came together beautifully and you're almost in there. Congratulations!

I just found your blog and was reading through the posts - was a little surprised when things started to look familiar. Hey neighbor! We're building on lot 97 :).

Glad to see the props to PM - we liked him in the pre-construction meeting and are looking forward to building with him.

    1. Oh WOW! Hi Neighbor! Thanks for the compliment on our new home. It seems like forever, but quick at the same time. I promise you will blink and your frame will be up.

Congratulations on your new home also! Hopefully we will see you checking on your home progress one day so we can say hi. I'm not sure how far you are away, but we wouldn't mind sending you pictures from time to time of the outside progress of your home. We can exchange email addresses offline if that's what you would like.

We won't be able to answer too many of the neighborhood questions since we are new too, however our next door neighbor is great person to talk with.

You will love our PM! Very easy to work with and you can tell he really wants you to get what you expected. And let's not forget about our SR!!! A+++

Happy Building and one day see you soon!

    2. Yes, you will see us regularly during our build. We currently live in Waldorf so I'll be over there as much as I can during the evenings/weekends.

So great of you to offer the pics, would have definitely have taken you up on the offer if we weren't in the area.

Yes can't forget about SR she's great. We're just hoping she comes through for us one more time and gets us our start date ASAP. We were supposed to start 2/25 but our building permit took forever to come through.

      See ya around!

    3. ~C, have you gotten word about your building permit yet?

    4. Yes thanks for asking. The building permit was approved 3/5 so all we are waiting for now is for SR to talk Ryan management into giving us a fast start date. Fingers crossed it will be very, very soon.

  5. I just found your blog too and everything looks great! I love the exterior of your home--so inviting!! I also love how they landscaped your yard especially around the ac unit.

Just curious--Did you get lightening in your family room--can't tell from your pictures. You must love lightening just like me! I looked up in my kitchen ceiling and began to count and we have nine lights too; however, they are spread out which is why I never counted them until now. We have one over the kitchen sink, 4 recess going in the same direction, 3 pendant lights and one random light because the kitchen package comes with 5 and the one over the sink is standard.

    1. Hi RickandNadase! Glad you found our Ryan Home blog. Thanks for your wonderful comments about our home. To answer your question about the family room we will have ceiling fan lighting in there along with table lamps.

  7. I just found your blog. Your home looks wonderful. Just an FYI, we have the same vinyl flooring in our kitchen. Though we don't wear shoes in the house, the main traffic patterns started showing scuff marks after a couple of months. They aren't on top of the flooring, rather they are from the finish being scuffed. I had flooring guys out and they told me to make sure I'm using the Once and Done cleaner by Armstrong. I had to purchase it online as no one local carried it, but it didn't make a difference. We are now going to have to use the Satin Keeper product, and if that doesn't work, we are going to have to use the New Beginnings floor stripper. I couldn't believe that there is no scuff coverage in the warranty and that it scuffed so easily. Just wanted to warn you so that if it happens to you, you won't be scratching your head trying to figure out what could have caused the scuff marks. Perhaps I just got bad flooring and it won't happen to you. Hopefully, it won't.

    Congratulations on your new home!
